Clinical Nurse Manager
Brooklyn, NY
(Based out of Brooklyn 2 days out of the week. You will be required to travel to all boroughs and Nassau County- 3 days a week)

The is an innovative nursing leader and professional role model who promotes NYHealth and New York Cancer and Blood Specialists' safety and quality standards. Leads, oversees, mentors, and coordinates clinical team members. Creates an environment that fosters a team approach to providing efficient, timely, and knowledgeable patient-centered care ensuring patient satisfaction in every interaction. Works, in cooperation with the interdisciplinary team including providers and leadership. Participates in multi-disciplinary care and treatment to patients while providing clinical support and technical assistance to the professional medical and other staff.
In this role you will
• Travel to all boroughs and Nassau County- 3 days a week (This position will be based out of Brooklyn 2 days out of the week)
• Direct the supervision of work and performance of NYHealth clinical team members including nurses, medical assistants, and scribes as instructed, including input for performance evaluations and corrective action plans as needed.
• Recognize the diverse skill levels of individual staff members & the unique needs of the patient population when developing staffing plans.
• Work closely with office manager/office supervisor, head nurse & lead lab medical assistants to ensure efficient office workflow and excellent patient experience.
• Assist with clinic problem-solving, patient wait times, and other areas of concern to increase efficiency and quality services
• Provide organized feedback following clinical site visits.
• Participate in all regularly scheduled clinical team meetings.
• Implement and communicate policies and procedures for various departments.
• Works collaboratively with clinic staff on programs to improve patient outcomes. Assists in organizing and participating in quality improvement activities.
• Maintain and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
• Develop and promote teamwork
• Participate in and maintain all procedural space certification including planning, training, recruitment, and certification standard requirement submissions and record keeping.
• Provide direct patient care support for the clinical team, which includes all functions of an RN, LPN, MA and Scribe, as assigned
We require:
• Current NYS Registered Nursing license required.
• 2 years minimum experience in an outpatient provider practice setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
• Must have reliable transportation for travel. An effective communicator, capable of determining how best to reach different audiences and executing communications based on that understanding.
• Travel to any of the NYCBS/NYHealth locations.
• Maintain BLS & ACLS Certification
• Bi-lingual, English/Spanish a plus.
• Willing to take action and eager to accept new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
• A good decision-maker, with proven success in making timely decisions that maintain high standards within the organization.
Salary up to $125,000/yr. based on experience and education.
All openings are for daytime weekday hours.
Hours: Days, Monday-Friday & flexible as needed during project implementations
