Responsibilities

The Cardiac Cath Lab/ElectrophysiologyClinical Program Manager is primarily focused on clinical management, favorable impact on quality of care, and is responsible to oversee the total care of the Cardiac Cath and/or Electrophysiology patient.  A variety of skills are used to educate, consult, and manage the Cardiac Cath and/or electrophysiology patient population and assist the patient/family, the patient care team, and physicians.  Works collaboratively with the health care team including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, anesthesiologists, and other physicians involved in the patient’s care, nurses, case management, and with departments affecting the care of the Cardiac Cath/electrophysiology patient.  Acts as a clinical educator working with staff on Cardiac Cath and electrophysiology competencies, new procedures, and advanced practice skills.  Must demonstrate strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as excellent team building and problem-solving skills, and a strong ability to take initiative and drive improvement.

The compensation range for the role is $99,665.00 USD -$124,586.00 USD per year.

 

Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements.   The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.  When determining a team member’s compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity)


Qualifications

Minimum Education: Master’s Degree in Nurse Practitioner Program

 

Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting.  Previous experience relevant to the area of clinical practice preferred.

 

Required Certification/Registration:

  • Licensed as a Professional Nurse by the State of New York.
  • Must have or obtain National Board Certification in specialty or Critical Care.
  • Current BLS required at hire or transfer until ACLS obtained. BLS renewal not required once ACLS is obtained.
  • ACLS preferred upon hire or must be obtained within first 90 days of employment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Travel to multiple facilities is required. 

Working Conditions:

  • Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works in a clean, well- lighted, heated or ventilated facility. No routine exposure to hazards.
  • Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift 10 lbs.
  • Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations. May be subject to irregular hours including evenings or potentially weekends to participate in operational and community events as necessary.
