The clinical-medical assisting program provides training, experience, and job placement in less than a year. Become a Clinical Medical Assistant trainee today, who is ready to take that first step into healthcare as they begin their career.
- Note: If you have an Medical Assistant Certificate, Associate's degree or higher, unfortunately, you are overqualified for our program
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (full list detailed below):
- Be between 18-28 years old
- Education level less than 20 college credits
- Provide a valid California ID
- Show a social security card (We accept DACA or work permit)

Training: 16 weeks Training (4 months) - currently virtual with two days on-site
5 days a week at Hope Builders Anaheim
Monday through Friday 8am – 4:30pm
Unpaid internship (one month)
The included internship is with one of our partnered employers where you can earn on the job training experience in an a hospital, clinical or various other options!!
- 1 month Internship/4 weeks (160 hours)
- 4 days (Mon through Thurs; 8 hours a day)
- Site placement determined by Hope Builders
This is a full-time commitment - we do not offer part-time.
After the internship, there is 6 months of continued support for retention once a career is attained.
We start a new CMA program roughly every 21 weeks after a program begins (Please note that schedules can be changed at the discretion of the organization.)
Full Program Qualifications:
- Be between 18-28 years old
- Speak, read and write English
- Education level less than 20 college credits
- Be able to pass a drug test
- Provide a valid California ID
- Must reside in the state of California for at least one year and one day
- Show a social security card (We accept DACA or work permit)
- Meet basic skills requirements
