Key Responsibilities:
- IT Support: Provide technical support to clinical staff, ensuring all IT systems are operational and any issues are promptly resolved. This includes troubleshooting hardware and software problems and coordinating with the IT department for advanced technical issues.
- System Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and updates on computer systems, software, and medical equipment to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
- Equipment Installation: Set up, configure, and install IT equipment, including computers, medical devices, and peripherals, as needed in various cancer center locations.
- User Training: Train clinical staff on the proper use of IT systems and software, assisting them in understanding and utilizing healthcare-related software applications.
- Data Management: Ensure the security and confidentiality of patient data, maintaining compliance with healthcare data regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Network Support: Assist in the setup and maintenance of local and wide-area networks (LAN/WAN) and network connections, collaborating with the central IT team for complex network issues.
- Inventory Management: Keep track of IT equipment and supplies, managing inventory and procurement for cancer center locations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT-related activities, including troubleshooting steps, maintenance schedules, and equipment inventory.
- Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to IT emergencies and issues that may impact patient care. Ensure swift resolutions to minimize downtime. Travel: Travel to different cancer centers across Alaska to provide IT support and services. This role may require significant time spent on the road or in remote locations.

Education/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Relevant IT certifications are a plus.
- Experience in healthcare IT or clinical support is highly desirable.
Travel Requirements:
Regular travel to different cancer centers in Alaska, often requiring overnight stays, up to 60% travel.
