The Opportunity
Mindful Care's psychiatrists provide in-depth psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and continuation of services to the patients/clients that Mindful serves. This position requires a self-motivated, ambitious psychiatrist who enjoys the experience of patient care along with educating and supervising Advanced Practice Providers. Responsibilities include evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in an urgent/semi-urgent mental health setting. Additionally, the role will involve psychiatric supervision and didactics for advanced practice providers, including nurse practitioners and physician assistants.

Compensation
The base salary range for this position is $225,000-$275,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: medical, dental, vision, 401(k), FTO, and company holidays to name a few. Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, patient volume, and certifications. This information is applicable for all full-time positions.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of patients in an urgent/semi-urgent mental health setting to patients 12 through the lifespan
- Collaborate and supervise advanced practice providers, to conduct psychiatric evaluations, make diagnoses, prescribe psychiatric medications, and regular case reviews
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records
- Provide education and instruction to advanced practice providers
- Participate in clinical quality improvement projects and initiatives
- Provide input to the Executive Directors related to advanced practice provider clinical knowledge during Mindful Performance Review Cycles
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Board certification/board eligibility in Psychiatry
- NY state active medical license required, dual licensure for the following states preferred: NJ, CT, IL, MI, FL, TX, PA
- Prescriptive authorization
- Sound understanding of all pertinent federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA
- Superior communication, patient/customer care, and leadership abilities
- Excellent organization skills coupled with a team-player mentality
- Desire to work with diverse populations
- LGBTQ ally and bilingual are a plus

- Hours: Monday- Friday 8AM -4PM ET
- Location Type : Hybrid - one day in the office, four days working from home
