Job Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising the student's clinical rotation for our students while adhering to BPSS standards. New York's Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision (BPSS) oversees and monitors non-degree granting proprietary schools in New York. The Bureau of Proprietary School Supervision is part of the New York State Education Department.
Every student must complete a checklist of hands-on skills in an actual licensed facility in order to complete their program here at ABC Training Center. This position is to shadow the students and watch while grading and documenting their tasks. We need to stress that you will NOT be performing any nursing skills - you are only there to monitor the student during their clinical rotation.
This is Part Time work (total of 16 hours per week) however our last few Part Time employees have loved it so much they asked if we had availability for more consistent work as in in person instructor. Responsibilities
· Monitor students from the approved BPSS clinical curriculum in one of the following course subject: HHA (HHA is approved in English & Spanish) or Nurse Aide (English only)
· Keep immaculate records for each student
· Work hand in hand with the Director of Education and the Director of Student Services
· Provide compassionate education and understand not every student is at the same learning level
Qualifications
· Must be a LPN
· Must have at least 2 years’ experience
· Must have patience and work well with people
· Be available for weekend work (Both Saturday & Sunday)
· We will help you gain a NY BPSS Teachers License which is a requirement of this position.
