Job Description
The Clinical Educator will be responsible for ensuring customers who purchase equipment from LABORIE use it as suggested and to their satisfaction. To install basic equipment for optimal function. To deliver LABORIE educational offerings to optimize customers' usage of diagnostic and therapeutic products. To partner with the sales team to identify goals and opportunities for training, education, and business development.
Products
- Urodynamics capital equipment and consumables and expand the entire portfolio to Optilume (From Diagnostics to Treatment).
Minimum Requirements
- Clinical expertise in urodynamics and preferably also pelvic floor therapy ideal, would prefer experience with OAB navigation and third line therapies
- Licensure as a nurse or technical certification is encouraged
- Clinical education experience in the hospital, clinic, or medical device setting preferred
- 2 years experience in medical technology company, delivering clinical customer facing material a plus
- Must be able to work successfully in a highly energized environment with multiple projects.
- Must be able to quickly re-evaluate and prioritize needs based on changing healthcare landscape.
- Technical aptitude and basic to advanced computer skills
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to support trade shows and conferences as needed.
- Able to travel 50-70% in a designated region
- Valid US Driver's License and ownership of insured vehicle
Job Requirements
- Educator: Conducts customer-facing staff needs assessments using a variety of tools; Teaches content as needed, and utilizes clinical expertise to facilitate orientation, development and safe practice of products. Assists in development of education plans related to initial and ongoing competency validation for clinical education. Works with National Sales Trainer to educate field organization on standard of care and how to message this with potential customers.
- Service Program and Tool Development. With assistance of Director, Clinical Education and Operations and Marketing, identify and develop Standard of Care for UDS market. To include standardization of materials and processes. Create and deliver scientific and clinical case documents for use by potential customers/KOLs to demonstrate the value of Laborie product line. Helps create core education tools and materials to address current and future needs of UDS, PrimeSight, Optilume and URO Pathway customers. Assesses materials for use in educational programs for accuracy and relevance to the target audience.
- KOL Development Assistance: Supports medical affairs integration of science-based research into clinical education and applications tools. Collaborate with KOLS/physician leaders to develop small data projects or case studies to identify how UDS improves efficiency/workflow, reduction in cost, patient safety and quality.
- Key Account Services: Will work with Director, Clinical Education and Operations and Key Account Director(s) to identify and execute Standard of Care in assisting our Key Accounts to better engage patients with bladder dysfunction (ie: OAB, SUI, etc.) Will work closely with VP, Strategic Relations to identify and schedule presentations and training on how to enhance their OAB/SUI patient programs in addition to growing the Laborie care pathway.
Compensation Information
- Base Salary: $90K

Location
- Acceptable HQ: Territory will cover north of Monterey and Fresno, CA areas, southern Oregon, and Nevada.
Territory parameters: Central to territory - ideally anywhere north of Monterey / Fresno, CA (NorCal), or Carson City, Reno, Lake Tahoe, NV, or close to surrounding areas, close to a major airport for travel as needed.
