Our trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ Substance Use Detox & Residential Treatment Center
Q Space Detox is a trauma-informed, substance-use detox and residential rehab serving the LGBTQ community. Our goal is to empower clients to overcome addiction and re-engage in a meaningful life while maintaining & providing life-essential interventions. Our team of affirming staff guides clients through the process to make sure they receive all the support they need.
OVERVIEW:
Are you looking to provide affirming LGBTQ therapy and facilitate affirming group therapy that inspires positive growth and success in a progressive atmosphere, working with Transgender & Queer Folk and the rest of the LGBTQIA+ community?
We are a transforming, passionate, life changing company who is on a mission to help the LGBTQIA+ community have an authentic experience while recovering from drugs and alcohol.
We are hiring a full time Primary Therapist who can provide trauma-informed care to our clients. We are looking for someone who is well versed in trauma informed care and able to see mental health through a trauma informed lens, with a passionate desire to learn about the trauma of gender dysphoria. We are looking for a therapist who wants to deliver an unforgettable memorable experience for the client while understanding the trauma that our Transgender and Queer Folk face growing up with the current social context.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Gather comprehensive information through psychosocial assessment interviews.
-Formulate a comprehensive treatment plan with clients that effectively addresses client needs, through the lens of trauma, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
-Provide trauma informed, LGBTQIA+ affirming therapy to clients
-Document each session thoroughly, in accordance with ASAM criteria, highlighting client progress and areas of struggle.
-Maintain regular contact and open communication with families, providing LGBTQIA+ education while advocating for the client.
-Assist families in finding resources to help understand the LGBTQIA+ experience.
-Prepare trauma informed group activities as it relates to the topic within the area of trauma, addiction, recovery, and utilize holistic and creative interventions through the lens of gender identity and sexual orientation.
-Responsible for conducting a structured and motivational group session for 1-2 hours with 2 - 15 adults with significant trauma.
-Document each client thoroughly in each group after each group is complete.
-Pursue professional development through participation in education and training programs
REQUIREMENTS:
-A LCSW, LMHC, MCAP, CAP, CAC
-A Master’s in the area of social work, psychology or mental health.
-1+ years experience working within the field of addiction
-Diversity and Race Equity training
-LGBTQIA+ culturally affirming: Understand the trauma that most of our clients have faced and have a passion to work with the transgender and queer community
-Ability to document with detail and criteria within timeframes
-Ability to adhere to the policies and procedures of the agency
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
-Knowledgeable about the 12 steps, the process of recovery, the trauma of gender dysphoria and other mental health diagnosis through a trauma-informed lens.
-Able to communicate with the rest of the staff within the organization.
-Has an upbeat, inspirational, positive outlook.
-Passion for working with the LGBTQIA+ community at a trauma-informed substance use center.
-Ability to easily connect with people and inspire them to be themselves.
-Great communication and listening skills
-Attention to detail
ABOUT INSPIRE RECOVERY:
At Q Space Detox, we are focused on maintaining the safe space we have created for the LGBTQIA+ community in recovery. We take a creative trauma-informed approach in the treatment of substance use and mental health tailored for our community.
Our program is designed to empower the emotional health and well-being of our clients while focusing on topics related to the experiences of addicts and alcoholics who identify under the spectrum of LGBTQIA+.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Internship
Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 4 – 40 per week
