Maintenance - Team Leader
Summary:
The Maintenance Team Leader is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance team, ensuring that the facilities and equipment are maintained in optimal working condition. This role involves coordinating maintenance activities, supervising team members, and implementing preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and enhance efficiency. The Maintenance Team Leader will also be responsible for troubleshooting issues, managing repairs, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Pay Range: $60,000 - $85,000 /year. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage daily work schedules
- Carry out projects as assigned
- Maintain Managers Plus, parts inventory and approve parts purchases
- Ensure equipment maintenance is being completed
- Help maintain with all lock out tag out processes
- Assist with hiring and maintain communications with team members
- Work with team members to resolve equipment issues
- Develop team member training programs
- Team member reviews, employment development, and disciplinary measures as needed
- Implement policies and procedures effectively
- Continue to provide in place and safe working environment for team
Secondary Responsibilities:

Credentials and Experience:

Maintenance Technician:
Summary:
Using a high degree of independent judgment team member is responsible for the repair and maintenance of a variety of complex equipment. Troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance of automated woodworking machinery including, but not limited to: CNC, saws, conveyors, finishing equipment, etc. Pay Range: $25.00 – 35.00/ hr. The pay rate is subject to experience and qualifications. Benefits: 401(k) - 401(k) matching - Dental insurance - Health insurance - Paid time off. Sign On Bonus: $3000.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Complete maintenance requests and assigned work orders in a timely fashion
- Assist in new machinery implementation; including line setup, dust collection installation, plumbing, wiring, and operator training
- Facility maintenance of steel siding/roofs, overhead doors, loading docks, bathrooms, offices, lighting, etc.
- Repair and maintain lawn mowers, skid loaders and heavy equipment
- Assist in welding/ fabricating custom parts and machinery
- When necessary and without supervision, accurately order parts using reference material provided or the internet, including communication with all necessary suppliers
- Maintain paperwork documentation of all work performed (work orders) in a complete and timely manner
- Follow our standard operating practices
- Always communicate with your Team Leader when information seems lacking or you have any questions or concerns
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, air controlled and SNC controlled
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in production areas when needed
- Snow removal during the winter months, landscaping/ grounds keeping during the summer months
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Able to make decisions and problem solve under little to no supervision
- Good communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team setting
- Able to read blueprints and CAD drawings
- General electrical knowledge of AC, DC, and Servo systems. PLC programming experience preferred
- Must be motivated to gain technical knowledge and understanding of production machinery
- Field service and maintenance experience with a good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment such as electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, air controlled and SNC controlled
- Advanced understanding of air and electrical schematics and diagrams
- Ability to spend 90% of their time traveling, including the ability to work flexible shifts, some weekends, and to adapt to changing work schedules
- Familiarity with mobile tools and applications
Credentials and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 2 years of related work experience
Special Requirement:
- Scheduled work hours are based on seasonality of Bayer Built Woodworks, Inc.
- 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, typically begins at 7am
- 2nd Shift: Sunday - Thursday, typically begins at 4pm
