The Clinical Administrator Assistant’s primary responsibility is providing administrative support to the Senior Clinical Administrator. This position reports to the Senior Clinical Administrator.
Essential Functions:
Referral tasks, including:
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with referral sources.
- Collects, organizes, and enters patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for referrals.
- Obtains primary insurance verification and coordinates with the Finance Department for payer authorization as needed.
- Coordinates with the clinical team and referral sources to schedule evaluations and admissions.
Document management, including:
- Filing, faxing, tracking, and uploading documents to patient’s EMR including physician orders, plans of care, etc.
Dashboard/Reports:
- Coordinates with Quality and Education Manager, or designee, to maintain Clinical Dashboard.
- Generates reports as requested or assigned.
Other duties:
- Performs various invoice reconciliation and approval.
- Serves as back up on various tasks, during absence of Senior Clinical Administrator and Clinical Administrator I.
- Other job-related duties as assigned by the Senior Clinical Administrator or by Director of Patient Services or designee.

- Able to maintain confidentiality concerning patient and caregiver information.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to use Microsoft Office and learn other software applications quickly.
- High school diploma or equivalent required, and at least one (1) year paid experience with demonstrated skills in the bullets listed above.
- Occasionally needs to store clinical supplies.
- Needs to be able to lift and carry boxes that weigh 25 pounds.
- Periodic travel to Hospicare’s administrative offices is required.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
