The Clinical Administrative Coordinator plays a crucial role by ensuring efficient operations and smooth communication for the clinical operations team. This position provides administrative support to the clinical managers serving as a liaison between internal and external partners. The role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides clerical and/or administrative support to clinical management team and clinical staff for special projects and reporting needs
- Schedule and coordinate appointments and procedures for members, ensuring timely scheduling and optimal allocation of resources under the direction of clinical nursing team
- Facilitate annual process of member satisfaction surveys in assigned market as directed by clinical leadership
- Serve as a liaison between ICT, facility staff and other internal departments assisting with inquiries, providing information, and addressing concerns to support the clinical team.
- Assist with the training and orientation of new clinical staff members in assigned market, providing guidance on administrative procedures and protocols
- Provides excellent customer service by serving as a resource to all internal and external customers
- Facilitate and support member mailings in relation to clinical processes
- Attends required meetings and participates in adhoc committees as needed
- Maintains knowledge of all health plan benefits, network, CMS, regulations, health plan policies
- Assist with facilitation of Durable Medical Equipment needs under the direction of member assigned clinical nursing team members
- Under the direction of clinical nursing team members, facilitate the ordering and management of OTC catalogue ordering
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or related field preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in an administrative or coordination role
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology, billing processes, and healthcare regulations preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively
