Position Summary:
Coordinates the reception area of the physician office.
Reports to: Practice Manager
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Must have a thorough understanding of Protected Health Information (PHI) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
Must be familiar with Medical Terminology and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) format.
Must have working knowledge of insurance billing.
Must have excellent customer service skills.
BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
