Job Summary:


The Client Manager - Premier Client Group (Personal Lines) is responsible for servicing and managing a wide range of Personal Lines clients with higher tier premiums. Must have at least 5 years of experience servicing a Personal Lines book of business (preferably in the High Net Worth space) in an independent agency setting.



Essential Functions:


  • Handle day to day servicing needs in accordance with E&O Plus quality management and professional service standards/guidelines as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrate a consultative approach in work by understanding and guiding clients through the initial objective setting process, evaluating exposure and performing contract review to make recommendations regarding the risk to the client for the most cost effective and proper insurance coverage.
  • Possess awareness of Firms service capabilities to generate ideas and solutions for clients, provide and coordinate additional resources for the client as needed and identify cross-selling and additional revenue opportunities.
  • Understand and stay current with legislative, regulatory, technical and professional standards and communicate developments appropriately to clients.
  • Keep informed of all new sales programs. Attend both internal and external networking activities. Attend staff webinar/seminar and educational sessions necessary to maintain system knowledge, product knowledge and underwriting expertise.
  • Manage projects and monitor timeframes to meet deliverable deadlines and expectations.
  • Review and order renewals on a timely basis according to agency procedures. Document receipt of renewals and investigate non-renewals.
  • Analyze carrier quotes and negotiate with underwriting. Create and present written proposal to provide coverage analysis and quote comparison.
  • Review carrier issued documents, including new business, renewals and endorsements, to ensure items were received as ordered.
  • Prepare client deliverables, and review documents for accuracy prior to customer delivery.
  • Respond timely to client inquiries and company requests.
  • Respond timely to incoming agency management system activities and keep all tasks up to date.
  • Possess knowledge of agency management systems and underwriting requirements of carriers, in addition to policy provisions and changes.
  • Possess the ability to rate and issue policies and endorsements through carrier website.
  • Create and maintain client files and process transactions in agency management system, including monitoring of aged receivables following agencys credit and collection policies.
  • Achieve a minimum rating of 90% from E&O Plus audits on all accounts.
  • Proactively provide clients and associates with relevant information (industry developments) throughout the year to create and maintain loyalty.
  • Delegate work appropriately and provide development opportunities for co-workers.
  • Train co-workers through on-the job training.
  • Additional job duties as assigned.


Education/Abilities/Skills:


  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Risk Management, Liberal Arts, or other related field is preferred; high school diploma or GED, in addition to industry experience, in lieu of an associates or bachelors degree is necessary.
  • Exhibits executive presence, and has strong rapport-building/interpersonal skills for positive interaction with customers and co-workers.
  • Exercises sound judgment and exhibits a strong critical thought process to make good decisions, despite time constraints.
  • Exhibit strong planning and analysis skills.
  • Ability to accurately perform advanced mathematical calculations.
  • Possesses necessary accounting and analytical skills, including the ability to use excel or any other numerical or data management software, and able to learn third party computer programs/sites.
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, be a team player and exhibit a positive attitude
  • Demonstrates a willingness to learn.
  • Possesses strong oral and written skills and communicates effectively with customers and insurance companies.
  • Exhibits solid time management skills; able to work under pressure and meet deadlines and deliverables, and is highly responsive to internal and external stakeholders needs and requests.
  • Demonstrates agility and is able to multi-task, as well as pivot to changing priorities, as circumstances warrant.
  • Contribute to team efficiency by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Possess proficient working knowledge working with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • This position requires a high energy level and the ability to handle stress-related situations on a daily basis.

  • Possess appropriate licenses - Property and Casualty license is required.
  • Experience working with Applied Epic preferred.
  • Personal Lines insurance designations are desirable.
