Job description

The Claims Specialist position is responsible for processing back-end pricing rebates.  Routine tasks include ingesting claims data into the Vistex Go-to-Market Suite (GTMS) software, cleanse data, research and validate claim for credit release.  Involves processing multiple types of pricing claims and resolving disputes in a timely and accurate manner. This position regularly interacts with Accounts Receivable (AR), Credit, Sales, Order Management, Customers, and others as appropriate.

 

Additional responsibilities include monitoring and improving data quality and data accuracy across multiple systems.  This requires online research, cleansing and processing of POS data. 


  • Process and issue credits for incoming claims from Claiming Partners in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Resolve and analyze disputed claims (escalate to management for further internal review as needed) and communicate issues/rejections to customers.
  • Issue credits for approved claims based on approval matrix and send claim discrepancy report to claiming partner.
  • Work with accounts receivable to reconcile denials/discrepancies for collection.
  • Notify management regarding cause of errors.
  • Address any issues, questions, and problems in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Keep the claim tracker up to date for management.
  • Run ad hoc claim discrepancy reports as needed.
  • Collaborate with Data Management Specialist on POS data to improve the completeness and accuracy of the data submitted in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) or manual submissions.
  • Work with the claim partners to improve the claim submission data for better processing and reporting efficiency.
  • Ingest and cleanse partner Point of Sale (POS) data in Vistex GTMS.
    • Upload manual POS files in a timely manner.
    • Review data for deficiencies or errors, correct any inaccuracies in POS files in Vistex GTMS.
    • Investigate, research, and identify business entities with minimal information provided.
    • Cleanse, enrich and monitor master data elements.
  • Identify issues related to master data that impact POS and/or claims data

  • High school diploma or GED required.  Associate degree in Business or Financial Analysis or work-related experience is a plus.
  • Minimum one year Rebate/Claim processing, data management, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills with a proficient understanding of processes.
  • Proven detail-oriented individual who enjoys managing large amounts of data.
  • Established strong process and organizational skills with the ability to process high volumes of transactions, research errors and exceptions, and manage to completion.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of individuals/functions within the organization as well as with external customers.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast pace, professional team environment with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and managing reports that identify discrepancies.
  • Proven capacity to identify and maintain consistent accuracy.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate Microsoft application user including Outlook, Word, and especially Excel.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Channel Data Management (CDM), Vistex GTMS, or SAP experience a plus.

Compensation for this position

The compensation range for this role is $30,600-$57,900. The listed salary range or contractual rate excludes bonuses, incentives, differential pay, and any other forms of compensation or benefits. The starting salary will be determined by several variables, including but not limited to experience, education, training, certification, and location. You may also be eligible to receive an annual discretionary incentive award, commissions, and program-specific awards, which are subject to the rules governing these programs.
