What we need:

Our Toms River, NJ office is currently seeking a qualified and motivated Site/ Civil Engineerwho will work with our Land Development team of professionals and staff to service the needs of our private sector clients. The Site/ Civil Engineer will be responsible for performing Civil Engineering design, zoning analysis, site layout, stormwater management and other associated tasks as part of a site plan package for residential, commercial and industrial developments. Additionally, the Site/ Civil Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with other team members and clients, attending meetings and contributing to projects from inception to completion.

What you should bring to the table:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering along with EIT (PE preferred - salary commensurate with experience);
• 3+ years of experience designing land development projects, including site layout, grading and drainage, stormwater design, soil erosion and sediment control design and waterfront development.
• Experience coordinating with reviewing agencies including, local and county planning boards and their professionals, local soil conservation districts, NJ Department of Environmental Commission, and Regional Planning Entities (Pinelands, Highlands, Meadowlands).
• Experience reviewing land development applications and exposure to public testimony for Planning Boards and/or Land Use Boards is a plus;
• Basic understanding of the New Jersey Municipal Land Use Law, Residential Site Improvement Standards and Local Public Contracts Law;
• Familiarity with latest New Jersey Stormwater Management, Coastal Zone Management Rules, Flood Hazard Area Control Act, Individual sub-surface wastewater design, as well as other New Jersey regulatory agency requirements;
• Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Hydra-Flow, HEC-RAS required; GIS experience a plus;
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
• Must have good written/verbal communication and people skills to facilitate frequent public communication;
