Data Scientist

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist with an active Top Secret/SCI clearance to analyze large datasets and discover patterns that drive informed decision-making for our mission partners. The ideal candidate will design and implement effective research methodologies for data collection and analysis, including data acquisition, processing, and refinement using programming languages. Critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and collaboration with engineering teams are essential to propose innovative solutions and communicate findings through data visualization.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct data collection, preprocessing, and analysis, including identifying valuable data sources and automating collection processes.
• Develop models to address business challenges, including predictive modeling and machine-learning algorithms.
• Utilize R, SQL, and Python for data analysis and modeling.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau) and data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop).
• Apply strong mathematical skills, including statistics and algebra.
• Communicate and present complex findings effectively to diverse audiences.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
• All positions are 100% on site. You must be able to commute to the Northern Virginia area.
• Bachelor's degree (BSc/BA) in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; graduate degree in Data Science or quantitative field preferred.
• Proven experience in data analysis and model development.
• Proficiency in R, SQL, and Python.
• Familiarity with business intelligence tools and data frameworks.
• Strong mathematical and statistical skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
