If this sounds appealing to you, then consider our Civil Engineer, EIT opportunity. The position is based in Houston, Austin, Plano, and San Antonio, TX.
This role is responsible for supporting Project Engineers and Project Managers with the planning design and execution of infrastructure projects such as road, water, drainage, rail, bridges, ports, and site development.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university
- Engineer in Training (EIT) Certificate required, or ability to obtain within 6 months
- 2+ years’ experience in related field
- Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record
- Working knowledge of engineering principles and technical design; previous internship/work experience in Civil Engineering firm preferred.
- Problem-solving and mathematical reasoning skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize work and manage competing deadlines.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/MicroStation, and proficient with Microsoft Office software, to include Microsoft Word and Excel
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of engineering plans, packages, and technical specifications
- Participate in field engineering for the sidewalk and bikeway program
- Provide CADD design/drafting for treatment facilities
- Support team with permitting, outside reviews, and site evaluations
- Assist in the preparation of time and cost estimates
- Maintain accurate permitting and contractor submittal logs for projects
