Scope:
The Summer Intern program provides college students with the opportunity to participate in meaningful projects that contribute to the overall business unit objectives. In addition to the assigned projects, Interns are given the opportunity to participate in activities that encourage networking with peers, managers, and employees.
Job Summary:
The CHQ Internal Controls Intern provides meaningful support primarily for the CHQ Internal Controls team, with the potential to interface cross-functionally and directly with the CVI Internal Controls team, Accounting and Finance team. There is a potential for a rotational series and special projects. In addition, soft skills development and networking opportunities provide a well-rounded experience. At the conclusion of the program, interns share through a formal presentation to senior corporate leadership the impact they made.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- Assist developing internal control documentation and flowcharts for CHQ's risk and control framework.
- Support ongoing initiatives, including but not limited to system implementations (e.g. Workiva), data cleansing, standardization, linking and mapping of control fields, etc.
- Adapt to and use technology to improve the effectiveness of assignments, increase efficiencies, and quickly complete work objectives.
- Collect and analyze data and information effectively.
- Other duties/projects, as assigned.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Well organized with attention to detail
- Strong oral and written communication as well as interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with diverse populations.
- Excellent project management, organizational, and follow-through skill set.
- Ability to manage competing priorities/projects independently with minimal supervision.
- Professional demeanor
- Intermediate skill in the use of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio). Advanced preferred.

- Professional office setting with business casual attire
- Hybrid working environment; a mix of office and remote working
- This is a paid internship
- Prolonged sitting in front of a computer
Experience:
- Not required, but prior Internship experience is a plus.
Education:
- Current undergraduate or graduate student, majoring in Accounting, Finance or related business area

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $22 and $25 and may include cost of living adjustments. The actual base pay includes many factors and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
