Demonstrating the combination of experience, knowledge, and customer service is the key to our performance and helps us achieve our goal of providing the highest quality fire protection services possible to protect lives and property.

Responsible for performing duties such as receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, and putting away and organizing inventory. Manages all aspects of the process flow of Salvaged and Reconditioned Parts. Resolves shipping and receiving issues with the appropriate people to ensure material is properly available in the system.

The Warehouse Agent duties fall into three categories. However, the Warehouse Agent may be asked to become specialized in one or more of the following categories

Shipping

  • Processing, packaging and shipping orders accurately
  • Work with shipping software
  • Pack orders effectively, to ensure the product reaches the customer in good condition
  • Ensures Expedited orders are handled correctly.
  • Works with Sales to resolve any potential issues that could negatively impact customer service.

Receiving

  • Receive and unload items from the shipping companies
  • Verify the packing slips match the received products
  • Communicates and works to resolve mis-shipments with Purchasing.
  • Communicates with Sales when customers send items in for return or review.
  • Supports the review and valuation of Cores and Buy Back Material.

Warehouse

  • Organize and put away stock inventory
  • Processes Salvage items to be reconditioned by the Lab.
  • Inspect products for defects and damages and reports any issues to supervisor.
  • Keep warehouse clean and organized
  • Mentor and supports the development of Warehouse Associates.

Qualifications

  • Two Year Industrial Degree or Equivalent Related Work Experience.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Basic Math Skills
  • Ability to operate basic warehouse tools (Pallet Jack, Hand truck, tape machine)

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Forklift Operation Certification
  • Four years related experience
  • Experience with Dynamics GP or similar ERP System

Required Skills

  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, productive team player.
  • Organizational, time management and problem resolution skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and follow up with supervisors on completion of tasks.
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and/or environment.
  • Ability to quickly learn additional propriety Company software.
  • General Business acumen.
