Pay: $13

Short Term- April to June. Part Time, 2 days a week, Tuesday and Friday, 9:00-12:00. Potential additional hours after June.

In order to accomplish the ministry God has called us to, our ministries will regularly offer conferences and events where childcare is desired for the children of the participants. You will have the opportunity to care for children anywhere from birth through high school, depending on the need of the conference or event. You may be involved in things such as administration, recreation, discipleship, leading field trips, running the program of a conference and using your artistic and creative expressions to minister to the needs of children or students. You will be considered to be available in any number of these roles.

Job Description

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
Entry level position of childcare for Cru staff member children/donor children. Responsible for watching
over children, ensuring their safety and well-being for a specified period of time under the supervision of
Lead Childcare Worker and/or the Cru Childcare Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

As an employee with Cru:

• Actively and intentionally grow in his/her Christian faith

• Share what God is teaching him or her
• Consistently attend and participate in team/ministry devotional times.

FOR THIS ROLE:

• Follow the direction and supervision of the Lead Teacher and/or Childcare Coordinator.
• Greet children upon arrival and engage children in room activities while the Lead Teacher connects withparents.
• Observe and monitor children's play activities.
• Read to children, and teach them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs.
• Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games.
• Assist in preparing food for children, serve refreshments and/or meals to children and regulate rest periods.
• Change diapers and dress children as needed.
• Notify the Lead Teacher of potential health issues, disruptive behavior, any injuries or any signs of possible abuse of a child.
• Organize and store toys and materials to ensure order in activity areas.
• Support children’s emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
• Maintain Cru Childcare policies including awareness of ratios and adult lead presence as required.
• Sanitize toys and play equipment as needed and before repacking.

OTHER FUNCTIONS (Non-essential):

• Perform related duties or special projects as assigned.
