Child And Youth Therapist

LIVING AND GROWING, LLC (L&G) is seeking compassionate and dedicated mental health professionals to join our team as a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist. As a therapist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional well-being and growth of school aged children. We are looking for licensed psychologists, school counselors, clinical social workers, mental health counselors, and child/adolescent therapists who are passionate about making a positive impact on young lives.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual and group therapy sessions to children and adolescents online, in person and in school settings, addressing a range of mental health concerns, emotional challenges, and behavioral issues.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, staff and community partners to develop and implement effective intervention plans to support mental health needs.
• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify mental health disorders and developmental concerns, offering tailored treatment plans accordingly.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to facilitate emotional growth, coping skills, and resilience in children and adolescents.
• Foster a safe, empathetic, and supportive therapeutic environment, ensuring confidentiality and ethical standards at all times.
• Monitor and track children's progress, adjusting treatment strategies as needed to achieve positive outcomes.
• Offer crisis intervention services as required, providing immediate support during challenging situations.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, collaborating with other professionals to address holistic student needs.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in mental health therapy, continuously improving therapeutic approaches.

Qualifications:

• Required License: Candidates must hold one or more of the following Washington D.C. licenses: LCSW, LCPC, PhD.
• Specialization: Therapists who have experience and expertise in working with children and adolescents are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Education: A Master's Degree or higher in a relevant mental health field is required.
• Experience: Prior experience working with children and teenagers in a school or clinical setting is a plus but not required.
• Empathy and Compassion: Demonstrated ability to connect with and understand the unique needs of young individuals, fostering a trusting therapeutic relationship.
• Flexibility: Adaptability to work in different school settings and respond to changing student needs effectively.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities, including the capability to engage with school staff, parents, and students professionally.
• Team Player: A collaborative approach to work, valuing teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration.
