Chief Technology Officer (Cto)

About the Role:

We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to spearhead the technological advancements in our healthcare software development company. Our flagship products, innovative Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, are set to revolutionize the healthcare industry. The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader, capable of driving the technology strategy while developing and implementing cutting-edge software solutions tailored to meet the needs of our B2B clients in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Leadership: Lead the company's technological vision and strategy in collaboration with executive team members, aligning tech-related decisions with our goals.
• Innovation and R&D: Oversee research and development efforts to ensure our technology department propels the company forward with state-of-the-art solutions.
• Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) Management: Manage the entire SDLC for our EHR/EMR software, from conceptualization and development to deployment and maintenance, incorporating agile methodologies for effective project management.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all software complies with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA and the HITECH Act, safeguarding patient data.
• Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the technology team.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the product management and business development teams to understand client needs and tailor software solutions.
• Cybersecurity Leadership: Lead efforts to protect sensitive health information against breaches and cyber threats.
• Technology Advocacy: Act as the company’s technology spokesperson at industry events and in media interactions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. An MBA is highly valued.
• Experience: 5+ years in an engineering leadership role, with a strong preference for experience in the healthcare sector, specifically with EHR/EMR systems.
• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in modern programming languages (Java/Spring or C#/.NET), object-oriented programming, RESTful APIs, WebUI (HTML5), and modern JS frameworks (ReactJS or Angular). Experience with Unix/Linux, Big Data, SQL/NoSQL, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and scripting/infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Project Management: Strong knowledge of project management and Agile methodologies, with a proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
• Innovative Thinking: An innovative thinker with a passion for healthcare technology and improving patient care through technology.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of healthcare regulations and data privacy laws.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a high-performing technology team, setting performance goals, and providing mentorship.
