The Vasquez Law Firm, PLLC is seeking an experienced Chief Operating Officer to help foster growth and ensure compliance with the firm's policies and procedures. This position will be based in Raleigh, NC and offers a competitive salary of $80,000. The ideal candidate for this role should possess strong interpersonal skills, be able to juggle multiple projects, and have a passion for process improvement. The Operations Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing firm-wide systems and procedures in order to create efficiencies, ensure compliance, and grow the firm's revenue. They will also work closely with the firm's attorneys and staff to create an environment of collaboration and trust. Responsibilities
• Strategic Planning: Work with senior leadership to develop and implement the firm's strategic plans. Monitor the progress of these plans and make adjustments as necessary.
• Operational Management: Oversee the daily operations of the firm, including administrative, financial, HR, IT, and facilities management.
• Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the firm's budget, oversee financial reporting, and coordinate with the finance department to ensure fiscal responsibility.
• HR Management: Oversee the human resources department, ensuring effective recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and employee retention strategies.
• Risk Management: Develop and implement risk management strategies, ensuring that the firm complies with legal and regulatory requirements.
• Client Service: Implement procedures to ensure high levels of client service. Address any operational challenges that could impact client service.
• IT Management: Oversee the firm's IT infrastructure, ensuring that the firm has the technological resources it needs to operate efficiently.
• Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
• Process Improvement: Continuously assess the firm's operations to identify opportunities for improvement and implement best practices.
• Create, track and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor performance and identify areas of improvement.
• Lead, manage and coordinate the activities of staff within the firm to ensure successful execution of company objectives.
• Develop and manage annual operating budgets and monitor financial performance to ensure the firm's financial health.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field. An MBA or relevant advanced degree is preferred.
• Proven experience as COO or in a similar senior administrative role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Strong understanding of business functions such as HR, finance, and IT.
• Proficient in budget development and oversight.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of the legal industry and its unique challenges is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in an operations role
