POSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the President & CEO, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will have overall operational responsibility for overseeing operations for Equitas Health's integrated care and services including Clinical (Medical, Dental, and Mental Health & Recovery Services) operations, and programs ( Health Advocacy, Housing Advocacy, Prevention, and Program Operations) including Ryan White case management, housing assistance, community based testing, harm reduction (i.e. Safe Point, BRAVO, and OHIV), and mobile health initiatives. They will provide leadership to the Equitas Health strategic planning process and will implement new strategic initiatives to further the integrated model of care. In addition, the COO will serve as a liaison to Equitas Health's partners . The COO will work with Equitas Health's Board of Trustees to keep them abreast of programmatic strategies and challenges. The COO is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of relevant care and services. The position will be responsible for ensuring all services are delivered with a focus on racial equity and inclusion. The Chief Operating Officer will partner with the CEO and other Senior Leaders and will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the operational aspects of the annual budget. The Chief Operating Officer will cultivate relationships with public and private funders.
SALARY: $206,300-$257,800
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for the Equitas Health medical center, dental services, mental health & recovery services, client advocacy, and prevention services to achieve quality patient & client services while optimizing health outcomes for the people served.
  • Provide oversight for Equitas Health's Clinical & Program operations to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local government laws and regulations.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the mission, vision, and values of Equitas Health entities, including the deliverance of high-quality, patient/client-focused
  • In collaboration with Equitas Health Chief Financial Officer, manage Equitas Health Clinical operations, including billing, revenue generation, reimbursement systems, budget margins, and contract/payer source enrollment.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new programmatic projects; assist with the development, communication, and implementation of effective growth strategies and processes; identify opportunities to leverage cross-program strengths to take advantage of new opportunities and/or to address organizational
  • Work in collaboration with the Chief Medical Officer to 1) ensure comprehensive and integrated services for patients of Equitas Health, 2) coordinate the development of clinical philosophy and practice standards consistent with our mission, and 3) communicate the philosophy and strategies to executive, management, clinical and direct support staff.
  • Analyze, plan, and direct the start-up and continued development of new and expanded healthcare, client advocacy, and prevention services throughout Equitas Health.

EDUCATION/LICENSURE:
  • Business, Social Work, Public Health, Healthcare Professional, Healthcare Operations or related degree required
  • Master's Degree strongly preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and other Qualifications:
  • Must have at least 10 years' healthcare administration experience, preferably in a community-based health care setting with oversight for productivity, fiscal management, profit/loss, operations, and program evaluation.
  • Experience with grant funding, HRSA compliance (Ryan White, 340B, FQHC) and CARF/OHMHAS.
  • Previous experience with 340B preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, computer and communication skills are required.
  • Prefer extensive knowledge of specialty disease states and LGBTQ Health. Knowledge of health and social service needs of persons with HIV/AIDS.
  • Knowledge and experience with the diversity of the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender community required and a commitment to racial equity.
  • Must have sensitivity to, interest and competence in cultural differences, HIV/AIDS, minority health, sexual practices, and a demonstrated competence in working with persons of color, and gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender community.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications and other computer applications required; Epic EMR experience preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation and valid Ohio driver's license, and ability to travel to all locations.
