Serving as a member of JDRF’s Executive Team, the Chief of Staff will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer. This role will collaborate and partner closely with JDRF’s Executive team and key stakeholders such as JDRF’s International Board of Directors, Board sub-committee members and volunteers. The Chief of Staff will drive and support strategic organizational initiatives from development through execution, drive accountability for enterprise-wide goals and identify process opportunities to increase efficiency while defining new operational strategies. This position requires adept leadership skills, communication, strategic thinking and operational prowess and a thirst for continuous learning. Candidate must be action-oriented, adaptable to change with the ability to navigate ambiguity within a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
- Build strong relationships and collaboration, manage trusted stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Collaborate with CEO and key Executive Team members in developing and executing JDRF’s strategic plan, policy development and all associated initiatives. Acts as a thought partner in deploying of JDRF’s strategic roadmap and priorities.
- Advance strategy to meet core organizational outcomes. Assess team priorities, execution and realization. Responsible for integration of strategy realization, objectives and metrics reviews and ensure leadership is focused on driving necessary outcomes.
- Develop and maintain enterprise-wide strategic scorecard.
- Increase CEO’s visibility into day-to-day operations
- Prepare meeting materials and ensure CEO is well-informed and prepare for meetings, engagements and presentations.
- Act as the right-hand person to the CEO, often serving as his proxy.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Partner with JDRF’s Board Liaison in preparation for quarterly board meetings and other board related activities.
- Serve as key point of contact between CEO and key stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and ensure information flow across the organization and with JDRF’s Board of Directors.
- Oversee and coordinate special projects or initiatives on behalf of the CEO.
- Ensure key projects alignment with the JDRF’s overall strategic objectives.
- 10 years’ of experience in a progressive, growing organization, preferably in the healthcare, pharma or clinical research industries.
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree in business, health administration or related field preferred.

- Travel requirement: ~20%, both domestic and international.
Targeted Salary Range: $180-$230K
