Citizens State Bank is seeking an experienced leader and visionary to fill an in-person Chief Information Officer (CIO) position and lead our company's technology and information strategy. As the CIO, you will play a pivotal role in continuing to shape our technological direction, ensuring that our information systems align with our business goals and drive innovation and efficiency across the organization.

In addition, this position will work closely with the CEO and IT examiners to ensure that the organization's IT systems and processes are in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. 

Responsibilities of the role:

Technology Strategy: Develop and execute the company's technology strategy, ensuring it supports the overall business objectives and drives competitive advantage.

Information Systems Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of all information systems, databases, software applications, and technology infrastructure.

IT Governance: Establish and maintain effective IT governance processes to ensure proper prioritization, alignment with business needs, and compliance with relevant regulations and security standards.

Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a diverse IT team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture while encouraging professional development.

Security and Risk Management: Implement robust cybersecurity measures and disaster recovery plans to safeguard the organization's sensitive data and information assets.

Technology Innovation: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies, staying abreast of industry trends to drive innovation and maintain the company's competitive edge.

Resource Allocation: Ensure efficient allocation of resources and cost optimization.

Vendor Management: Collaborate with external vendors and partners to assess technology solutions, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.

Business Continuity: Develop and maintain business continuity and contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions to critical IT services.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, such as IT Director, IT Manager, or similar.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing technology strategies that have driven business growth and transformation.
• Strong understanding of information security, risk management, and compliance best practices.
• Extensive knowledge of IT governance frameworks and industry standards.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and inspire the IT team.
• Track record of successful vendor management and contract negotiation.
• Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to technology.
• Experience working in a financial or relevant industry is a plus, however not required.
