POSITION SUMMARY

To provide superior quality, competitive value and outstanding service by assuming fiscal responsibility

for the overall financial operations of the Brevard Health Alliance, Inc. (BHA). Provides the highest

standard of support to Brevard Health Alliance under the supervision of the Chief Executive Officer

(CEO) and in collaboration with the Chief Operations Officer (COO), Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and

Management team.

GENERAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Master’s Degree in Business or Finance or Accounting from an accredited educational institution or 20+

years’ experience in the financial field.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 8-10 years of management experience in Accounting/Financial Reporting; preferably in a

primary health care environment, community health center, non-profit health organization or

Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)

• Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures forAccounting/Finance

• Proficient in the operations of FQHC’s a plus

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent collaboration skills required for community relationship building

• Strong analytical skills and capacity to analyze issues to resolve problems in an efficient manner

• Strong leadership skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times and follow Brevard Health Alliance’s confidentiality

guidelines.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for directing the financial planning, accounting, financial reporting, billing, accounts

payable, purchasing, and internal control

• Work with CEO, executive staff, other management teams, and the Financial Committee of the Board

of Directors in preparation of the annual financial audit

• Direct the preparation of all internal financial reporting and work with the external accounting firm in

the preparation of annual reports, tax returns, and all regulatory reports

• Manage the banking and investment relationships of BHA under the authorities and investment

guidelines established by the Board of Directors

• Perform other related duties as assigned

• Takes ownership and represents Brevard Health Alliance’s mission and organizational goals

established by the executive committee. These include, but are not limited to: Productivity, Quality,

Patient Satisfaction, and Employee Retention. It is the duty of each BHA employee to incorporate

these goals into all daily work routines and strive to achieve and surpass all goals by working as a

team. The mission and goals of BHA will be incorporated into each associate’s Key Performance

Indicators and will be evaluated on a monthly and quarterly basis.

EXECUTIVE/LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBLITIES

• Plan, direct, or coordinate operational activities at the highest level of management with the help of

subordinate executives, VP and/or managers

• Direct, plan, or implement policies, objectives, or activities of organizations or businesses to ensure

continuing operations or to increase productivity

• Preside over or serve on Boards of Directors, management committees, or other governing boards

• Approves policies and offer planning recommendations to the BOD

• Oversees/manages the operations of assigned department
