Chief Financial Officer

SMArtX uniquely builds unified managed accounts solutions by leveraging its cloud-based technology, micro-services architecture, and APIs to simplify the investment management process for enterprise and advisory clients.

We are looking for a top-level executive Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage and direct all financial activities within the Organization. The CFO will play a critical role in strategic planning, financial analysis, risk management, and decision-making processes to ensure SMArtX financial health and long-term success. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Strategy and Planning:
  • Develop and Implement financial strategies aligned with SMArtX goals and objectives. 
  • Provide financial guidance and recommendations to the CEO and the board of directors.
  • Create and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets.
• Financial Reporting:
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Risk Management:
  • Identify and assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Financial Analysis:
  • Conduct financial analysis to evaluate the company's financial performance and profitability.
  • Provide insights into cost reduction, revenue enhancement, and operational efficiency.
• Capital Management:
  • Oversee capital allocation, including decisions related to investments, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
  • Evaluate financing options and maintain relationships with lenders and investors.
• Tax and Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, working closely with tax advisors.
  • Manage tax planning and optimization strategies.
• Financial Leadership:
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, including controllers, accountants, and financial analysts.
  • Foster a culture of financial discipline, accountability, and transparency within the organization.
• Stakeholder Relations:
  • Collaborate with external auditors, legal counsel, and financial institutions.
  • Communicate financial performance and strategies to shareholders, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Treasury and Cash Management:
  • Manage cash flow and liquidity to ensure the organization meets its financial obligations.
  • Optimize the use of financial resources and investments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in financial management and leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing business conditions.
