SUMMARY:
As Head of Finance & Controlling at Haag-Streit USA Inc., you will be a crucial part of our executive team, reporting to the CEO with a functional connection to the Group CFO. This role demands a hands-on mentality as you will oversee the financial, operational, and information system activities of the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to safeguard and optimize the company's assets by establishing and managing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting mechanisms.
Furthermore, you will maintain a leadership position within the organization and ensure that all accounting and financial reporting functions comply with legal and regulatory requirements. Your influence extends to shaping our financial and IT strategies, as well as providing strategic guidance to the executive team. Collaboration will be key as we work together to enhance financial performance, streamline processes, and effectively integrate technology to support our growth and objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Leadership:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
- Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risk.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and internal audit processes.
- Oversee and ensures compliance with audit and legal obligations, encompassing Group accounting principles, IRS regulations, and US GAAP requirements.
- Evaluate and mitigate financial risks, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.
- Lead the FP&A function to provide invaluable insights and data-driven decision support.
- Ensures that financial reporting meets the requirements of the Group CFO, the Board, the CEO and external stakeholders.
- Develop financial models and scenarios to assess strategic initiatives and investments.
- Drive the annual budgeting and forecasting process and oversees the implementation.
- Provide strategic direction for the company's IT function, ensuring alignment with the Group strategy.
- Oversee IT operations, infrastructure, and technology investments.
- Champion digital transformation initiatives and leverage technology to enhance efficiency and competitiveness.
- Build and lead a high-performing finance and IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- Mentor and develop team members, driving professional growth and performance excellence.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Minimum ten years Finance experience coupled with an MBA or CPA.
- Minimum four years management experience required; prior experience as Group Controller or CFO preferred with a hands-on mentality.
- Must have a solid understanding of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, inventory, cost accounting, controlling, Federal and State regulations, and risk management.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of driving financial and technological transformation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, organization, interpersonal, and management skills required.
- Strong preference for proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics ERP.
- Prior experience in a multinational organization preferred.
- Experienced in foreign exchange currency conversions.
