The Role you will play as the Chief Financial Officer for Pemiscot:
This is an opportunity to be the catalyst of positive change and lead the transformation and growth of financial services while working with a well-experienced, high-energy, and passionate team. Not only continuing to grow and bring more services into the community but are focused on population health and how they can positively affect people's lives in the communities they serve. Knowing healthcare will evolve over the next decade they are excited to explore new models of care delivery and ways to improve access to affordable quality care. A lot of this success will depend on the financial strength and operational capabilities of the organization. Building a strong finance department/processes is critical and a rebuilding opportunity for a well-experienced CFO.
A successful candidate would have quantifiable experience in:
- Creating a Bonafede structure with processes rebuilding from the ground up
- Operate to build volumes, bring in specialties like ortho, cardiac
- Well Versed in pro forma, cost reporting, CDM, and revenue cycle
The first year of the role goals/deliverables:
In First 6 Months:
- Secure Funding for the implementation of IT infrastructure including EMR/Finance Systems
- Review CDM for Clinic and Hospital, make changes as necessary
- Assist with Organization restructuring/Financial Turnaround Plan
- Reduce Reliance on consultancy
- Implementing policies and procedures for GPO usage
- Develop KPIs using industry benchmarks
In First 12 months:
- Reviews/Updates/Develops organization's policies and procedures on finance, accounting, insurance, patient billing, and internal controls.
- Develop internal processes to improve efficiency
- Review contracts to ensure compliance and financial feasibility
- Collaborate with CEO and Board to develop and execute Strategic Plan
- Collaborating with Department heads, developing a realistic annual budget, forecasting
- Develop Three Capital Budget
- Develop 5 Year Deferred Maintenance Program

Initially in the military and since working with small hospitals in various parts of the United States helping them to stay feasible by rebuilding their operations and working with the board and all stakeholders to achieve the vision of the organization.
She is well respected, is direct, and transparent. She genuinely believes that people want to do a great job, she believes in a culture of accountability and supporting the skill development of everyone in the organization. Joanie joined Pemiscot as CEO in August and is already hard at work assessing operations and identifying opportunities. The team is described as great people who are dedicated and not afraid to pitch in and help each other out. There is a lot of support and wanting to help others to improve is a part of the culture they are promoting along with people living a balanced life that includes quality of life and family.

Hayti is a small city in southern Missouri, near the Tennessee and Arkansas border.
The city lies in eastern Pemiscot County, just west of the Mississippi River. Interstate 55 passes through the eastern half of Hayti, connecting the city with the Sikeston area to the north and Blytheville, Arkansas, to the south. Interstate 155 intersects I-55 near Hayti's southern border, and continues southeastward across the river into Tennessee. U.S. Route 412 connects Hayti to Kennett to the west, and Route 84 connects the city with Caruthersville to the east. The city of Hayti Heights borders Hayti immediately to the west.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.31 square miles (5.98 km2), of which 2.30 square miles (5.96 km2) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 km2) is water.
