Form of workThe Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a General Maintenance Workerto provide support to our government customer located in Orlando, Florida.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs General Maintenance and repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work.
- Work involves a variety of the following duties: Replacing electrical receptacles, wires, switches, fixtures, and motors; using plaster or compound to patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings; repairing or replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets; painting structures and equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and sidewalks; replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles; hanging doors and installing door locks; replacing broken window panes; and performing General Maintenance on equipment and machinery.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- Certified in Backflow Preventer Testing preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Three (3) years related experience to the specific job description.
- Ability to read, write and speak English.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be able to pass a Federal Government background check and pre-employment urinalysis.
