JOB SUMMARY:

The Chief Financial Officer (C.F.O) will be responsible for the fiscal functions of CES in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Hands-on to plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's fiscal function and performance.
• Participate in the organization's plans and programs as a strategic partner.
• Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
• Leadership presence among all employees.
• Strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization.
• Continual improvements of the budget through education of department managers on financial issues impacting department budgets.
• Review of financial statements, financial information of customers, subcontractors, vendors, and other businesses with which the company conducts business.
• Enhance cash position by monitoring A/P, A/R and collections. Work directly with staff to collect all past due receivables and retainage as soon as contractually allowed.
• Establishment of tax policies, tax planning, and oversight of preparation of all corporate tax filings.
• Provide mentorship to Accounting Manager and other staff to assure successful individual development in support of business's long-term goals.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education:

• MBA or Bachelor's degree in accounting or other business related discipline.
• CPA preferred.
• Chief Financial Officer level record of performance.
• 10+ years of financial management experience with the day-to-day financial operations of an organization. construction Industry preferred.
• Superior verbal and written skills. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.
• Demonstrates ability to develop relationships.
• Strong analysis and judgment skills.
• Works well in a team environment.
• Advanced computer skills.
• Demonstrates ability to communicate at all levels.
