Who We Are Looking For

SCDC is seeking a Chief Executive Officer looking for a career where they can significantly impact the world. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its subsidiary, S.H.A.R.E. Multifamily Investments will be reporting directly to Chairman of the Board, Odell Abdur-Raheem. The ideal candidate is a strategic thought leader, anticipating opportunities as well as risks, and can make decisions and accommodate change in both an independent and collaborative manner. The successful candidate will be a leader, a team player, and a mentor, bringing expertise and positive influence on our diverse and talented team.

This role calls for an individual who bridges multiple fields and demonstrates capabilities in corporate organizational leadership and real estate industry expertise in property management and operational management including project management, security, facilities, landscaping management, procurement management, and most importantly people and process management.

CEO RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate closely with the CEO, CLO, CFO, and CAO of the parent company and the CEOs of the subsidiaries, in connection with carrying out all plans and visions of the Founder | Chairman | CVO and contribute advice during strategic planning sessions to align departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization.
  • Define and execute a strategic plan to achieve the company's short-term and long-term goals.
  • Ensure that decisions made align with the company's financial goals, budgets, investment choices, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the entire Multifamily Investments company and ensure the efficient and effective functioning of all department areas within.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of the company by reviewing leasing capacity, vacancy rates, rent payments, resource allocation, facilities, key performance indicators (KPIs), and other metrics.
  • Implement systems and processes to improve operational efficiency.
  • Identify and drive innovation within the company to remain competitive and seize new opportunities.
  • Identify growth opportunities for the company and employees.
  • Provide leadership to department personnel through effective objective setting, delegation, communication, conducting staff meetings as needed, assigning tasks, directing goals, and coordinating work.
  • Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and professional development, ensuring staff members receive proper supervision and guidance.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • A master’s degree in a relevant field, MBA or PhD and 10 years plus of relevant experience; or comparable combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Proven track record of successful leadership as a CEO, COO, or similar executive position within a relevant industry, preferably in real estate.
  • A record of accomplishments of successful executive leadership, preferably in a senior management role, such as CEO, COO, or President.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing corporate strategies that align with the company's mission and goals.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and expansion/growth initiatives.
  • Strong decision-making skills, including the capacity to make critical decisions and take accountability for outcomes.
  • Experience leading a team in a startup environment is desirable.
  • A commitment to innovation and the capacity to adapt to changing market conditions and industry trends.
  • High-level experience representing an organization externally, with exposure to media and public speaking before large, high-profile groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage time sensitive and confidential situations.
  • Ability to build consensus and relationships among executives, partners, and the workforce.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical behavior, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • The ability to attract, inspire, and lead high-performing teams and create a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with demonstrated ability to motivate a team and inspire greatness.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS

This position is in Downtown Houston, Texas 77002.

The salary range is $312,000 - $780,000.

This is a primarily on-site role. The ideal candidate is seeking immediate employment and can be available to start immediately or within a maximum of two weeks upon final employment agreement. Some relocation assistance may be provided for the ideal candidate if necessary.
