Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Home Health

Position Purpose

The CEO will provide strategic leadership and operational direction to the Home Health Division in the development and execution of operating plans that align with overall system strategies. Additional positional purposes include:

• Provides executive leadership and oversight within defined service areas that ensures excellence in the care experience and operational efficiencies.
• Fosters an unrelenting focus and climate of urgency that balances the opportunity to transform care delivery with current operational realities.
• Provides leadership and guidance to regional teams, fostering collaborative planning, innovation, and decision-making.
• Engages physicians and community-based partners to identify opportunities for growth and collaboration.
• Ensures effective governance, maintains a participative management process and engaged organizational climate that develops and maintains talent within the Home Health Division.

Essential Functions

• Candidate will need to be a nimble and innovative leader, as well as a strong team builder.
• Provides executive leadership and directly supervises executive team ensuring the achievement of financial, operational and strategic plans with a focus on excellence. Champions change and improvement - seeks out and employs effective change management and performance improvement techniques and tools. Ability to collaborate with all Market Leaders and provide effective coaching and development to all teams.
• Leads the formation of Home Health vision and strategic plans, the development and achievement of its goals and objectives and evaluates the continuing effectiveness within the framework of CommuniCare.
• Facilitates the development and implementation of integrated clinical service delivery platforms across the Home Health division. Ensures the coordination of actions and realization of service efficiencies that drive increased clinical quality, patient safety, and enhanced patient and physician satisfaction and responsiveness to marketplace growth and needs.
• Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State and local laws/regulations.

Qualifications / Experience / Traits / Requirements

• A minimum of five (5) years of senior-level management experience, including experience as a Regional President/Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and/or President/Chief Executive Officer of Home Health or large, complex heath system.
• Knowledge of state and federal home health agency regulations/conditions of participation and compliance standards and regulations.
• Advanced business and executive leadership skills to develop new or enhance existing clinical and operational strategies, business plans, policies, and programs.
• Experience marketing and branding within competitive markets with shifting patient populations.
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of current health care trends and practices.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills and business acumen.
• Must be able to operate effectively in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.
• Must be able to adapt to frequently changing work priorities and be able to prioritize and balance the requirements of working with the CommuniCare Family of Companies.
• Must be able to effectively analyze, communicate, and respond to the unexpected challenges from a changing healthcare landscape.

Education

Master's Degree in Health Administration (MHA) or a related field preferred. Candidates with an equivalent amount of relevant work will also be considered for the position.
