Chief Executive Officer

Job Description:

A growing Atlanta-based distributor of specialty wire and cable products for the transit, power and industrial end markets seeks a CEO to oversee, operate, and grow the business. The business is seeking to recruit a dynamic and hands-on Chief Executive Officer who will wear many hats in an entrepreneurial capacity leading the Company. The successful candidate will be challenged with developing and implementing strategies to profitably grow in existing markets while expanding the company’s offerings into new and underserved markets.

We are seeking a candidate with P&L experience in the wire and cable industry who will be responsible for managing all aspects of the business. This candidate will be the face of the company and must be capable of achieving significant organic growth with a specific focus on business development in the transit, power, and industrial sectors. This position reports to the Board of Directors.

Key Dimensions, Duties and Responsibilities:

· The position is based in the Atlanta area.

· Possess the necessary integrity, communication, and leadership skills to drive employee engagement and motivation in executing a Board-approved strategic growth plan.

· Prioritize business development and establish strong customer relationships through frequent travel and engagement.

· Possess the necessary financial acumen to review and provide accurate financial statements while being able to “tell the story behind the numbers”.

· Oversee the Company’s commodity and currency hedging program.

· Develop and implement an operating cadence including necessary KPI’s to communicate results to the Board of Directors.

· Lead and inspire a team of senior executives and managers

· Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Company’s suppliers.

· Oversee the Company’s office and warehouse operations, including IT.

· Assess the total organization to identify skill gaps and then develop recommendations to address.

· Gain stakeholder respect and shorten learning curve through an effective transition with retiring CEO.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in business management or related roles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
