Responsibilities
Expectations:
- Registration of new patients in the practice management system for outreach or other services not on EMR, billing and coding, including scanning necessary paperwork, some manual data entry of charges.
- Process encounters held in the work queue or task lists, organize paper charge tickets for coding staff, and perform charge reconciliation.
- Review and process charges in the work queue per assigned edits.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- One to two years billing experience in a health care environment
- Knowledge of health insurance plans
Pay Range
$15.00 - $17.68 /hour
