MORE ABOUT THE LPN LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE POSITION:

- Demonstrate excellence in customer service and public relations to promote a positive professional image
- Work independently with attention to detail and possess the necessary knowledge of all aspects of daily operations
- Provide a basic level of general nursing care to forensic clients, patients, and inmates with mental, emotional, or developmental disabilities
- Provide care under the clinical direction of a registered nurse or physician
- Respond to medical emergencies within the correctional facility, providing immediate care and coordinating with other healthcare and security staff
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, documenting assessments, interventions, and communication with inmates
- Advocate for the health and well-being of inmates, ensuring that their healthcare needs are addressed appropriately
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE LPN LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE:
- 1+ years of corrections experience
- BLS issued through American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- LPN license in Alabama or compact license
