The ideal Channel Sales Manager -
- Identifies prospects (resellers to specific channel), evaluates their position in the sector and implements sales approach to approach them and win them over
- Actively seeks out new prospects through research, cold calling, networking, referrals, and social media
- Maintains relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance
- Sets up meetings - Prepares and delivers appropriate presentations on products/ services to prospects
- Participates on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
- Coordinates customer integration activities, ramp-up and supports them directly with any issues
- Identifies potential product improvements or new products by remaining current on customer needs, industry trends, market activities, and competitors
- Supports and coordinates customer field returns and complaints
Requirements
How you fit in …
You have a minimum of 5 years' customer-facing sales experience that includes a combination of hands-on and managerial experience. You are an experienced leader and able to provide direction for a variety of channels. You have a positive, cooperative mindset, a high sense of integrity and work ethics, good listening skills, the ability to work in a collaborative environment, and have the desire to be a part of a team of highly motivated self-starters.
The ideal candidate MUST have –
- Proven experience and knowledge in the automotive retail market, specifically BHPH sector or used car dealer sector – MUST HAVE.
- Verifiable track record of identifying applicable prospects in our field, negotiating and closing contract to represent company products - IMPORTANT
- Willingness to travel 50 percent of the time
- Customer-oriented, strong customer relationship skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet both sales goals and deadlines
- Demonstrated willingness and flexibility to take on other duties as assigned
- Desire to succeed with a positive, can-do attitude
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision
- Valid driver's license
