QUALIFICATIONS: Currently licensed as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant by the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapists (NBCOT) and meet state licensure requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer Occupational Therapy standardized tests/procedures following demonstration of competence under the direction of the Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR).
- Use activities, materials, and equipment related to Occupational Therapy.
- Implement the goals and recommend activities provided in the Occupational Therapy section of the students' Individual Educational Plans (IEP).
- Provide documentation of students' progress in Occupational Therapy programs on a regular basis, communicating data to the OTR, and completing required documentation.
- Share therapy activities with students' teachers, families, and others involved with the students to allow programs to be continued outside the classroom.
- Utilize and maintain Occupational Therapy equipment to ensure a safe and sanitary environment for students and staff.
- Inventory and determine needs for equipment and supplies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
SALARY: Nine-month position, beginning salary level 39, employee benefits in accordance with Board Policies.
EVALUATION: Performance to be evaluated in accordance with Board Policy on the evaluation of support personnel.
