Responsibilities:- Relay important data or changes of patient status to charge nurse or general physician and other facility staff as needed
- Maintain clean and sanitary patient rooms by rotating sheets, changing bedpans, and performing general room upkeep
- Attend to the basic care and daily living needs of patients including going to the restroom, bathing, eating daily meals, taking proper medication dosages, and getting dressed
- Exercise patients as needed to maintain physical health and mobility level
- Provide carefully documented patient information in charts for multiple vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and blood oxygen level
- Candidates must have already completed the state-approved CNA training program and received CNA certification from a medical facility, vocational school, or community college
- Knowledgeable in record keeping through a computerized database to maintain patient history
- Excellent communication skills that focus on creating and maintaining positive relationships between patient and families
- Prior experience helping bedridden patients and patients who suffer from age-related illness including Alzheimer's and Dementia would be preferred
- Possession of a high school diploma or the equivalent (for example, GED) is required
