At BMS, the Cell Therapy organization is focused on novel cellular immunotherapies based on two distinct and complementary platforms – Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CARs) and T Cell Receptor (TCRs) technologies. Our goal is to revolutionize medicine by re-engaging the body’s immune system to treat cancer. At the core of that mission are the talented individuals who contribute their unique skill sets to help us drive innovation and deliver truly life-changing drugs for our patients.

BMS is looking for individuals who are passionate about Cell Therapy and interested in working with a team of scientists and engineers in developing T cell-based medicines. In addition to their project assignments, interns will have opportunities to attend community-building functions including speaker sessions and recreational activities, throughout the summer. At the conclusion of the program, interns will present their project progress to their teams and leaders.

    Position Summary

As a Summer intern, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our Cell Core team to help gather relevant data from various sources, and compile and analyze collected data to identify trends that will assist in the development of a tracking tool. This role would include collaboration with various team members to assist in data tracking and planning for long-term forecasting. The candidate must be able to work independently as well as with guidance from a manager and demonstrate good written and oral communication skills, with high attention to detail.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze data to support forecasting and tracking of cross-functional requests
    • Work with stakeholders to gather, aggregate, and implement trending within datasets
    • Interpret and communicate data from inventory trackers, electronic laboratory notebooks, and project management software
    • Present findings to the team in a clear and concise manner
    • Organize, record, and maintain large data sets

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or pursuing a Master’s degree in Bioengineering or Biological Sciences (students with graduation dates from December 2024 - May 2025)
    • A passion and curiosity for creating and building things
    • The ability to thrive in a collaborative team
    • Strong communication and organization skills
    • Willingness to learn with hands on participation
    • Strong attention to detail

The starting compensation for this job is a range from $27.00 - $34.00/hour.

The starting pay rate takes into account characteristics of the job, such as required skills and the geographic location where work is performed. Final, individual compensation is decided commensurate with demonstrated experience and education level.
