The Allegria Hotel is seeking an experienced Catering Sales Manager. In this role, you will build relationships with guests whose needs are associated with social events and weddings. High Energy and Creativity with attention to detail will make you successful in this position.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Works alongside the Sales Manager to solicit and respond to sales inquiries from potential clients seeking event space for food & beverage services
- Solicitation of new and existing business should be through a combination of outside sales calls, appointments, telemarketing, social media, site tours, constant prospecting, and networking.
- Ability to make sound business decisions and take action quickly based on previous experience and good judgment.
- Serves as primary contact for banquet functions to ensure all preparations have been made as detailed on Banquet Event Orders (BEO), plan and upsell and last-minute needs & changes are responded to timely.
- Complete the contracts, prepare BEO, leads BEO discussions for assigned events with the appropriate areas in the hotel to resolve any issues, complaints, and problems to ensure a quality product delivery and guest satisfaction
- Works directly with clients & wedding planners to gather necessary information for menu planning, floor plan, room set up, timelines, rental orders, decor, cost and billing details and any other requirements pertinent to their event in a timely manner and assist with those items as necessary
- Responsible for follow-up circulation and timely communication with proper departments
- Position requires the manager to be able to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends to oversee the execution of weddings and other social events.
- Participates in industry events, trade shows, and promotional events within the target market.
- Maintains relationships with assigned accounts through regular sales calls, client entertainment, site inspections, and consistent follow up.
- Produce sales based on previous clients renewing annual events
- Responsible for the final BEO calculations and final payment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hotel procedures, products, and competition, including their strengths and weaknesses, to continually improve sales strategies and achieve goals
- Targets results-oriented high revenue potential sales calls to ensure a successful direct sales program, in accordance with goals established by department budget and marketing plan
- Key Account Management: Maximizes current hotel key accounts by identifying and capturing those that offer revenue growth
- Completes additional duties as requested by Director of Sales and VP of Revenue, Sales & Marketing
Job Requirements
· 2+ years-experience in a catering role
· Experience with Salesforce preferred
· Excellent time management skills
· Strong organizational skills
