Davidovich is a rapidly growing wholesale bakery. We currently have an opening for a FULL TIME Retail Manager to manage the three cafes that we operate in NYC and our Catering division
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Plan and implement the overall store strategy
- Organize all store operations and allocate responsibilities to personnel
- Supervise and guide staff towards maximum performance
- Prepare and control the store’s budget aiming for minimum expenditure and efficiency
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop a marketing store strategy
- Work with store security guard to investigate any suspicious activity
- Recruit and hire new store employees
- Train and evaluate store employees
- Create a healthy and enjoyable store work environment
- Determine and set basic store KPIs
- Track and report on store KPIs
- Train store employees on corporate policies and procedures
- Deal with complaints from customers to maintain the store’s reputation
- Inspect the areas in the store and resolve any issues that might arise
- Plan and oversee in-store promotional events or displays
- Keep abreast of market trends to determine the need for improvements in the store
- Analyze sales and revenue reports and make forecasts
- Ensure the store fulfils all legal health and safety guidelines
- Develop relationships with key suppliers and vendors
- Use the appropriate software to keep track of inventory losses and/or shrinkage
- Suggest new operational strategies to improve store's performance and productivity
- Work with analyst to review profit and loss figures (P&L)
Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience as a Retail Manager or in other managerial position
- Reliability and dependability are key traits
- NYC Food Handler license
- Knowledge of SQUARE pos system
- Strong work ethic and a desire to improve and succeed
- Good knowledge of sales and marketing
- Understanding of online platforms: Grubhub, Uber Eats, Door Dash
- Excellent leadership skills
- Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success

- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Commercial awareness
- Analytical mind and familiarity with data analysis principles
- Excellent knowledge of retail management software
- Degree in Business Administration or relevant fields.
Not Required but helpful:
- Knowledge or past experience in a Wholesale Bakery is a plus
- Fluency in Spanish
