About You
The Catering Marketing & Sales Director is responsible for owning and driving the catering business and identifying opportunities that will grow the business quickly and efficiently. The role will lead the development of a strategic business plan, inclusive of defined KPI's for the catering business. This individual will work with internal functions to identify opportunities to improve the product and execution, inclusive of offering, packaging, delivery, process and procedures. They will identify opportunities to understand and improve guest sentiment, develop culinary campaigns that reach and motivate the target audience to take action and consistently evaluate the catering product offering - optimizing the offering to meet the needs of our guests. They will partner with the finance team to define and optimize the pricing strategy, along with the analytics team to identify testing opportunities in order to understand what actions have the most meaningful impact on the business. They will also partner with the operations team to ensure optimal execution of all catering offerings.
This role requires an accountable self-starter with strong leadership and organizational skills. The ideal candidate has the ability to build and maintain strong relationships both internally and externally.
Initially, the primary focus of the individual will be to evaluate existing catering platform and implement business strategies aimed to grow the catering business. Over time, their role will expand to include lead generation and relationship management. The scope of responsibilities also includes overseeing the catering budget, monitoring expenses, and enhancing profitability through cost-effective strategies. Additionally, the position entails generating regular reports to assess performance, identify improvement areas, and track progress towards established goals.
We're looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives and effectively present ideas. The individual should have proven experience collaborating successfully with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels of the organization, including senior executives.

Your Day in the Life
- Establish the vision for the catering business. Assess the market and articulate the distinctive value that Noodles catering brings to the marketplace.
- Drive the development, testing and implementation of a strategic plan that includes business and social catering, as well as national partnership opportunities.
- Provide leadership and direction in the development, execution and measurement of catering campaigns including clearly defined goals, budgeting, and reporting.
- Drive the development of marketing initiatives to support Catering brand and sales.
- Work closely with IT & Brand Team to identify and develop technology needs to expand the customer database that support and execute effective CRM campaigns
- Actively manage lead generation and responding to quotes
- Analyze marketplace & competitors, industry trends, and customer needs to inform program development.
- Manage day to day relationships with national partners such as ezCater, Delivery Partners, Call Center, plus develop and manage additional partners as needed to grow the catering program.
What You Bring to the Team

- Previous restaurant marketing, catering sales and/or business development experience.
- Proven track record of growing sales, this person will be responsible for achieving nearly double growth in catering in 2024

- Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years Catering or Restaurant Marketing/Brand Development experience.
