INTRODUCTION
HTX Restaurant Group was established in 2005 with the opening of its first restaurant, The Park Grill in the Houston Museum District. Shortly after, the Park Grill began catering its American food fare like breakfast buffets, casseroles, wraps, panini’s, sandwiches, salads, and soups into the Texas Medical Center.
Since then the HTXRG’s culinary team has grown and created several new food concepts, Bodegas Taco Shop and Fia's Pizzeria. These are both brick and mortar restaurants that offer unique menus to our dine-in guests as well as our catering customers. The key to all these concepts is the variety now offered to our neighbors and catering clientele.
The HTX Restaurant Group is looking for great Leaders! This is an extremely exciting time. We are looking for team members who embody our vision of a dining experience and are ready to help write the next chapter on this journey as food service leaders in the Houston Museum District.
Compensation Range:
- $45,000 to $65,000 per year

Serve as an ambassador for the company amongst local business and professional organizations, developing and maintaining relationships with key catering decision-makers.
Leadership skills to motivate, manage and develop the catering coordinator and the catering sales coordinator, to set and achieve service standards and sales goals. Deliver continual training and mentoring for catering coordinators.
Work closely within the P&L to exceed all catering sales and budget targets.
Work under time constraints and have the ability to plan, organize, and delegate tasks to team, as well as a willingness to learn, grow and be flexible as the corporation grows.
Develop and assign customer service, quality and sales goals for the Catering Coordinators, and manage them towards excellent performance towards these goals
Maintain “Catering Sales Calls, Customer Sales, Follow-up Sequence & Marketing Plans”
When we fall short of our goals, quickly implement plans to help hit our targets
Develop and implement a (1) ‘customer lifecycle’, (2) ‘communication plan’, (3) ‘follow up program’, and a (4) ‘marketing plan’ to generate new business. Customer satisfaction is key. Gifts
Sell our customer rewards program, and handle any escalated customer requests
Serve as the top of our customer escalation process, work with customers with outstanding balances of 30+ days, and be the main contact for important customer issues and concerns
Develop and maintain (1) ‘delivery staff training’ and a (2) ‘delivery process’. Monitor implementation (training) and adherence to these processes and maintain oversight
Provide oversight into CaterZen and Avochato, look at each order placed for correctness, and read all conversations for communication thoroughness. Each is training opportunities. Manage the customer experience with each contact, ensuring that all communications are prompt and courteous and that any issues are handled appropriately. 1st order touchbacks.
Oversee the daily catering operations, making sure the kitchen has all catering tickets, and each order is completely packed-out to our standards.
Perform a daily food quality check on all orders, making sure they are packaged to our brand standards.
Help the Catering Coordinator source and order any special request items from our preferred list of vendors (for example, steaks, sheet cakes, etc.)
Work with the Catering Coordinator on recipes for menu items with special dietary requirements. Work with Chef to expand menu items where appropriate to provide more options for those with dietary restrictions. Work with Chef to label all menu items as gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, keto, quick turn, etc. Oversee the catering coordinator’s meal recommendations to ensure that they are appropriate for the situation.
Coordinate weekend and evening deliveries to ensure the kitchen and delivery staff are prepared for success
Manage the ‘daily vehicle log reports’ Oversee the reports, and schedule maintenance and cleanliness of all company vehicles.
Manage inventories and ordering of branded labels and stickers for catering packaging
Create and manage a database of marketing materials, including fliers, menus and magnets
Manage all catering reviews on EZ Cater / Yelp / Google / Bing / Trip Advisor
REQUIRED TRAINING/ EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
· College degree preferred, but not necessary.
· Minimum of two years catering experience.
· Must possess detailed knowledge of restaurant operations.
· Must be proficient in organization and customer service.
· Must have or be able to get a Texas Food Manager’s Certification.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Passion for food and beverage.
· Positive attitude, and solution oriented.
· Self-motivated and self-aware.
· Able to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
· Available to work 40-45 hours a week.
· Available to work weekends as needed.
· Able to lift 50 pounds.
· Takes initiative and has a sense of urgency.
· Good hearing for accurate communication.
· Bilingual preferred, but not required.
· Emotional intelligence.
· Must be able to physically carry out the position requirements.
· Must be alert to all management, staff, and customer needs.
