Join us as Catering Manager and be apart of our growing team at Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, IL!
In this role, you will work within the Dining Services Department, ensuring top-notch customer service at every catered event. Your focus will be on presenting food attractively, maintaining fiscal responsibility and sustainability in line with customer preferences and company standards. As a key member of the dining services management team, you'll bring professionalism and collaborative spirit to assist in any necessary aspect of the dining services operation.
Core Responsibilities of the Catering Manager:
- Oversee Catering Operations: Coordinate and supervise catering activities, varying in size, under the direction of the Food Service Director.
- Collaborate for Event Success: Work with production, conference services, and sales teams to plan and execute catered events, ensuring seamless coordination.
- Manage Catering Staff: Participate in hiring, scheduling, training, and performance of catering staff, fostering a skilled and cohesive team.
- Enhance Service Standards: Maintain and enhance food presentation and service standards, staying current with catering industry trends.
- Build Client Relationships: Cultivate positive relationships with clients and the community, promote catering sales, and ensure high customer satisfaction levels.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors in hospitality or related field, preferred
- 3+ years experience in catering, event planning, or food service management, required
- 3+ years in management experience, required
- ServSafe Certification, required
- Knowledge of proper table service techniques and design, preferred
- MS Office product computer skills, ability to learn event management software, preferred
