Summary: Executes and consistently performs sales activities for assigned customer base to maintain and profitably grow among current customers while pursuing new business opportunities with prospective customers in an entrepreneurial environment focused on integrity and personal accountability.
Key Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with management, develop and execute sales plans for their individual markets that will align with overall Foodservice strategy to drive new business through distributor placement and end user accounts.
  • Independently prospect and develop new and exisisting relationships with customers to grow Trident's share in foodservice segment while maintaining margin.
  • Drive volume and margin growth aligned with corporate goals and expectations.
  • Manage local marketing programs, direct broker partners to effectively promote Trident Seafoods in the marketplace.
  • Leverage and analyze data to guide sales efforts and make informed business decisions.
  • Effective and timely communication with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Manage trade and travel expenses for geographic region to maximize results.
  • Deliver effective product presentations and business reviews (both virtual and in person).
  • Negotiate pricing and coordinate on-boarding of new customers.
  • Partner with other internal departments (Customer Service, Category Management, Credit, Finance, Supply Chain/Forecasting/Demand Planning, Operations, QA and Sales Support) to efficiently and accurately conduct sales transactions and a dynamic environment.
  • Prepare periodic sales reports showing sales volumes, potential sales, and areas of opportunity.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Perform other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.
  • Create and present to customer on various sales related themes.
  • Regular travel within market to support customer presentations, food shows, business reviews. Estimated at 40-50%.

Minimum Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or three years of professional sales or account management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Superior customer service, excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) experience, CRM and SAP proficiency is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous work experience within Foodservice segment is desirable.
  • Basic accounting is desirable.
  • Experience in seafood sales desirable.

This is a salaried exempt position with an annualized salary range of $90,000 to $130,000.
