- This role will be highly impactful to the business, driving process and procedure changes to create a more effective and efficient organization.
- Develop, implement, and execute sourcing strategies for the new Global Procurement Function, including building out a Category management process.
- Help to create a strategy focused on continuous improvement of supplier tools, processes, guidelines & Category Plans.
- Managing sourcing and supplier engagement activities including Category/Vendor Management, IT Software Library creations, spend pattern analysis, contract analysis, bid evaluation, negotiations, and supplier consolidation.
- Implement supplier selection processes and overall supplier performance metrics, using optimized spend analytics.
- Establish preferred strategic supplier relationships.
- Proactively seeks new opportunities to add value, through a deep understanding of procurement practices, economics, market, and technology trends. Challenges and influences business stakeholders to drive value (Category management.)
- Identification of strategic sourcing opportunities and support development & implementation of local /regional category specific strategies.
- Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships with leaders in all business functions.
- Work independently in a professional and organized manner while juggling multiple tasks.
- You will support the Director of Global Procurement and the Procurement Managers in the areas of Global Category management, Vendor consolidation, market research, data analysis and the presentation & benchmarking of market information/competition.
- Help to develop requirements & source Global Category Planning tools (Tail Spend Mgt) to ensure all contracts are effectively tracked, monitored and analyzed for alignment with business goals and compliance with contract terms.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- 10-12 years of strategic sourcing experience with demonstrated expertise in influencing Category management, business strategy, vendor relations, and negotiations.
- HS Diploma or GED required
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and professional record in overall Technology, SaaS & Tech Research and Development Procurement preferred
- Experience negotiating SaaS and general service agreements for cloud-based platforms and applications.
- Leading RFP process for solutions with major vendors
- Experience working at a Global level with a proven track record of implementing procurement tools & processes to support a fast-growing function.
- Experience scaling supply chain operations and help support developing high performing team within a fast growth, high change technology company.
- Exceptional organization and communication skills and ability to multi-task, manage and prioritize tasks. Business fluent verbal and written communication skills in German and English required.
- Enlist strong process and project management skills/ability to manage change.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead tasks independently.
- Strong planning, presentation, and organization skills
Additional Information
DOE, salary $130K - $145K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
