Flint Hills Resources (FHR) is currently seeking a Services Category Manager to join our Procurement team!
Our Team
The Services Category Manager will report to the Procurement Director. The role will be based at our refinery in Corpus Christi, TX and require up to 20% travel.
What You Will Do
- Partner with the business to develop strategic vision that maintains & enhances our competitive position
- Facilitate ongoing vendor feedback and relationship development by being the face of FHR to the supplier.
- Development and monitoring of supplier performance metrics and facilitation of reviews
- Create strong relationships with other groups at FHR to facilitate recurring reviews on performance, issues and future needs
- Facilitate discussions with the business to optimize contracting & purchasing strategies and supply chain risk mitigation
- Ensure knowledge processes are in place to create transparency to decisions and competitive position for the categories managed
- Align supplier incentives with business objectives and ensure clear ownership of deliverables between FHR and counterparties
- Perform market discovery via the bidding process by setting requirements and contributing to package development
- Issuance and analysis of responses to bid packages including communication to suppliers
- Own contracts & agreement creation - partner with legal, operations, and counterparties to develop agreements & templates that help meet the objectives & needs of the business
- Where feasible, seek aggregation opportunities and collaborate with other FHR facilities and Koch companies to leverage purchasing power
- Transform the role and our business through the challenge process, market discovery, as well as the use of tools and technology
- Support business initiatives by integrating key procurement milestones with the overall project timeline
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Experience in procurement, supply chain, contracts, commercial, operations, reliability or related field
- Demonstrated success partnering with internal and external customers
What Will Put You Ahead
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in the chemicals or refining industry or another type of manufacturing environment
