GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Category Development Administrator is a pivotal support role in the organization by contributing to the efficient operation of the category management function. This position involves administrative tasks, data management, and analytics, and coordination to assist the Category Development Manager and ensure the successful execution of category strategies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and maintaining category data, including sales figures, market share, and competitor information.
- Prepare and analyze reports and dashboards for category performance and business recommendations.
- Support data-driven decision-making by generating insights and identifying trends.
- Support the creation of customer-facing analytics and presentations to help drive business development.
- Manage scheduling, appointments, and correspondence for the Category Development Manager.
- Coordinate meetings, including preparing agendas and minutes.
- Maintain accurate records of category-related documents, contracts, and agreements.
- Prepare and distribute reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure data confidentiality and compliance with company policies.
- Act as a liaison between the Category Development Manager and cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate communication and information sharing to ensure seamless execution of category initiatives.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external partners in a timely and professional manner.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in data management, analytics, and organization; preferably at a CPG company.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Basic understanding of category management concepts is a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS (If applicable)
- Bachelor’s or associate Degree required in business or related field.
- Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
